They can help with: I-20 / DS-2019 updates, SEVIS records, maintaining F-1 or J-1 status, CPT and OPT, travel signatures, program changes, transfers, and reporting immigration-related changes.
DREAM Center
Start here if you are: Undocumented, an AB 540 student, a DACA recipient, from a mixed-status family, or otherwise impacted by immigration policy and you are not sure which campus resource you need.
They can help with: One-on-one support, academic and career guidance, DREAM Act and AB 540 navigation, financial-aid support, housing-resource navigation, professional-development opportunities, and referrals to other campus services.
UC Immigrant Legal Services
Start here if: Your question requires individual legal advice, rather than general campus guidance.
They can help with: Free immigration-related legal services for UC students and their immediate family members. Campus attorney may be contacted in legal emergencies such as detention or deportation.
Basic Needs Center
Start here if: Your immediate concern is food, housing, financial instability, or another basic need, regardless of immigration status.
They can help with: Food pantry access, emergency meal swipes, CalFresh application assistance, temporary housing support, social-worker consultations, financial coaching, and certain emergency financial assistance.
Counseling Center
Start here if: Immigration uncertainty, family issues, academics, finances, discrimination, or other circumstances are affecting your emotional or mental well-being.
They can help with: Short-term individual therapy, relationship and group therapy, crisis care, referrals to longer-term community providers, and resource support. Services are free for currently enrolled students who have paid registration fees.
